Snow Emergency Route

Due to the National Weather Service forecast, the City of Eldon’s Snow Emergency Ordinance will be placed into effect Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at 10:00 p.m., and continue until 12:00 p.m. on Friday, December 23, 2022.

It’s that time of year!! The City would like to remind you that there is a Snow Emergency Route Ordinance. There are signs posted on streets that are considered “Snow Emergency Routes”. When a “Snow Emergency” is in effect, there is “No Parking” allowed on the streets that have signs posted.

Also, property owners must remove all snow and/or ice from their sidewalks before noon when the snow has fallen in the night. Snow and/or ice is not allowed to remain on any sidewalk for more than 24 hours. It is unlawful for any person to remove snow and/or ice accumulations from private property and deposit them on any public street, highway, alley or sidewalk.
