A Boil Order is in effect until further notice for the high side of the water system. If you have been affected by low water pressure or no water today, this boil order pertains to you. To lift a boil water order, two sets of negative bacteria samples are required.
• This means that after the initial issue causing the boil order is resolved, water samples are taken from the affected area to test for the presence of bacteria, such as coliforms.
• If the first sample tests negative, another set of samples is taken, usually after a waiting period (often 24 hours).
• Both sets of samples must be negative for bacteria to lift the boil order. Once we receive the negative results, Eldon will lift the boil order.
